The Benzoin resin or Gum Benjamin is mainly found from the Benzoin tree when its age is up to seven years old, the milky-white substance the the benzoin is turned to solid as it is exposed to light followed by the development of crystallised stones which are then used as incense.
Gum Benzoin has a long history of medicinal uses as well as traditional uses such as in Russian Orthodox and Christian Orthodox societies.
